Charles C. Case, Jr., Attorney at Law, Principal

Charles Case Jr. (“Charlie”) graduated from New England School of Law in 1993, and immediately started a law firm concentrating in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate, and Asset Protection. He later expanded his practice to include Elder Law and Medicaid Planning.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Charlie owned and operated a Property & Casualty Insurance Agency for 18 years. His interest in the law stemmed from his desire to assist his clients in a way that extended beyond the scope of what he was offering as an Independent Insurance Agent.

Concentrating in Elder Law became important to Charlie as he and his family dealt with elder law-related issues in their own lives for years. After experiencing first-hand the challenges, and working towards resolutions, he discovered a passion for helping people in similar situations.

Charlie loves to help people, and feels fortunate that he has had the opportunity to educate a variety of audiences on the topics of Estate Planning and Elder Law. His goal is for his clients to feel completely at ease as he moves them through the complicated, and often confusing, process from beginning to end. He aims to simplify complex concepts in order to effectively address his clients’ personal and sensitive issues.

Charlie is very active in the community. He has served as president of the Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod, and as president of “Alzheimer’s Services of Cape Cod & the Islands” prior to their merger with Hope Health. He has also been active as a board member for Hope Health. Furthering his commitment to educate the community on the topics in which he concentrates, he has been a contributing author of 2 books: “Generations” and “Giving”.

Professionally, Charlie places a high value on membership in organizations which help him keep current on changes in laws in his fields of expertise. Charlie is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and actively participates in the Massachusetts Chapter of NAELA (MA NAELA). He is also a member of Wealth Counsel, LLC, a cooperative alliance of professional estate planning attorneys nationwide who are dedicated to achieving excellence in their fields of law.

Happily married for 39 years, Charlie and his wife have two children, Kelly and Rad. Charlie also has three grandsons and one granddaughter. His son, Rad, joined the firm as an associate attorney. Charlie finds it fulfilling to be able to work alongside his son, who shares his commitment to helping others.

When not at the office, Charlie enjoys playing the piano – which he has done since the age of five. He shares this talent weekly, playing at his church, and produces an annual Christmas CD for colleagues, friends, and family.
